I Slept on the Ergoflex Pillow for a Year – Here’s What Happened

When it comes to sleep, I’ve always believed that a good mattress makes the biggest difference — but after a year on the Ergoflex HD Memory Foam pillow*, I’ve learned that the right pillow can be just as life-changing.

I’d been used to buying cheap, very soft pillows that flattened within weeks. They were comfortable at first, but by midnight, they had ‘squished’ to nothing, leaving me adjusting, stacking, or flipping them around in search of support. So, when I decided to try Ergoflex*, I knew it would be a big change.

First Impressions

The Ergoflex pillow is a high-density memory foam pillow* that feels very different to the feather-light pillows I was used to. It’s noticeably firmer and has a reassuring weight to it — no slipping or sliding around in the night (especially when you overdo it with the blankets and find yourself tossing and turning as you overheat – guilty).

It fits a standard pillowcase, which was a relief. So, there is no additional upfront expense there!

At first, I wasn’t sure if it would be too firm, but I reminded myself to give it time. After all, the $2 pillows I was used to were no good for my health, even if I was used to them.

There was definitely an adjustment period. My body had to get used to the new level of support, especially since I used to switch positions throughout the night (side, back, and occasionally stomach). I actually woke up with a stiff neck one morning, which had me concerned until I realised I was in the exact same position I fell asleep in, which was brand new for me.

But after a week or two, I realised I was waking up without the stiff neck or sore shoulders I often encountered with my flimsy pillows.

The most notable change is that I no longer woke up with circulation lost in my hands (a consequence of the squished pillows of my past).

One Year Later

After a full year, the Ergoflex pillow* hasn’t lost its shape at all. No sagging, no flattening, no lumpy spots — which is more than I can say for the stack of cheap pillows I used to go through.

I’ve noticed a few big benefits:

  • Consistent support: It doesn’t collapse halfway through the night, so I usually wake up in the same supported position I fell asleep in.

  • Great for side and back sleeping: It keeps my neck aligned whether I’m on my side or lying on my back. (I still try to avoid stomach sleeping, and this pillow helps discourage it!)

  • No slipping around: Because of the weight, it stays put even if you toss and turn.

Who It’s Best For

From my experience, I’d recommend the Ergoflex HD Memory Foam Pillow* to:

  • People who prefer a firmer pillow.

  • Anyone who moves a lot at night (you won’t lose this pillow under the bed!).

  • Those frustrated with pillows that squish down to nothing after a few hours.
If you love an ultra-soft, cloud-like pillow, this might not be for you. Though, as a recovered ultra-soft pillow-lover, it is possible to adapt. It will feel firmer than you might expect at first, so if you love super soft pillows, it will take patience to adjust.

For those craving consistent, long-lasting support, it’s an excellent choice.

The Price

The Ergoflex pillow usually retails at $149.99, but right now you can get it for $104.99* – a saving of $45 – when you use the code TAKE20.

Yes, it’s a lot more than the $2 pillows I was used to, but since I haven’t needed to replace it (and my sleep feels better), I think it’s proven its value.

Final Thoughts

Switching to the Ergoflex pillow has proven to be a great sleep investment. It took time to adjust, but now I can’t imagine going back to my old flimsy pillows.
