I could not afford this...​

I couldn’t afford an ancestry DNA kit...

So I started a rumour that I won the lottery. Found all my relatives in record time.

Guess I’ll have to do that also!!! I’m second of 7 siblings, we have already done our family tree research with great expense to us. Was once told by a sibling “why don’t you get your DNA done”? My unspoken response was ‘why should I spend more money, why could the requester not do their DNA and spend the money’.

When tattersalls used to sell tickets (Yes I am that old) and you went to the newsagent to buy your ticket and had to say the names whom were buying it shared etc . The newsagent said “ you have to list everyone’s name on the ticket because if you win reasonable amount they will come out of the woodwork to say I was in that . We won a reasonable amoun not 1st Unfortunately but OH how right he was!!
