Hungry Jack's Cafe Blend wins the prestigious Golden Bean Award!

If you’re looking for a new delicious coffee to add to your daily morning routine, then the distinguished winner of the 2023 Golden Bean Award might be just what you’re looking for.

Grinders Coffee, creators of the coffee blend used exclusively by Hungry Jack’s, have taken home equal first place for Overall Large Chain Champion in Australia’s largest roasting competition, The Golden Bean.

This isn’t the first remarkable achievement in Grinders Coffee’s history, however. Founded in Melbourne in 1962, the company has seen its fair share of success over the years, steadily growing in size and stature over the decades.

In more recent years, Grinders Coffee has become a key provider of quality coffee for the Jack’s Cafe network, which boasts more than 450 locations across the country.

With a robust and long-standing partnership between the two companies, Hungry Jack's has certainly tasted success with their collaboration.

Grinders Coffee’s General Manager, Sally Byrne, had some glowing words about the coffee blend as well as the roasters who have been making it for Jack’s Cafe for the past four years.

'We are delighted to receive this recognition and take home the gold medal at Golden Bean this year for our blend at Jack’s Cafe,' said Ms Byrne.

'As a leading coffee roaster and a key partner of Jack’s Cafe, we are constantly striving to deliver the highest quality coffee, day in, day out.’

‘We are proud of our partnership and will continue to work relentlessly to roast our coffee to perfection, locally in Melbourne.'

Head of Jack’s Cafe, Joy Villanueva, was also ecstatic that the Grinders’ coffee blend won the competition.

'It’s now official. The coffee is better at Hungry Jack’s,' she said in a statement.

'Coffee quality and great service are key to customer satisfaction at Jack’s Cafe, and with Grinders receiving this well-deserved recognition for the Jack’s Cafe blend, our customers can rest assured they are being served premium coffee every time.'

And that isn’t all. Hungry Jack’s invested AUD 20 million into state-of-the-art equipment and training to ensure that customers get their 'best coffee experience possible' each and every time.

The company also aims to present its customers with a signature blend of coffee with the infusion of robust arabica beans from Papua New Guinea and Costa Rica, increasing Australia’s imports which doubled in the past 10 years.

‘We all know how much Australians love their coffee, and quality barista-made coffee isn’t just “nice to have”, it is an expectation from our customers,’ Hungry Jack’s Chief Executive Chris Green said.

The Grinder Coffee blend is sure to be a crowd pleaser, and with its convenience, quality, and the guarantee of a gold-medal brewing experience, you'll maybe be reaching for it on future coffee runs again and again.
