How to save on Petrol and take the stress out of petrol cheap day​

7/11 have an app that allows you to receive various discounts on items at their outlets.

There is also a great feature within the app “fuel lock” most states for some reason have a day of the week where fuel is cheaper, so all rush to the servo to buy fuel that day.

With the App you go to the fuel lock feature on “cheap fuel” day and click on, the app then searches the closest 7 (7/11) outlets for the lowest price for the fuel type you have selected, if happy with that price you lock it in.

once locked in it means that you can go to any 7/11 outlet during the following 7 days and buy your fuel at the locked price, subject to a maximum of 25c per litre discount.

if yiu do not use during the week and the price the next cheap day is lower than your locked in price, you fill up at the lower price that day pay for your fuel and then lock that price in for the next week.

By using this app you have the benefit of the lowest price and you select the day when you may need to fill up rather than chasing around on cheap fuel day

I've seen that offer before. It's too much hassle.
I prefer my 4c fuel voucher on the Woolworths app and a 4c voucher from Origin Energy on their app. Find the local cheapest EG/Woolworths petrol station and you get 8c off a litre. At the moment the cheapest E10 at my local one is $1.81 a litre, less 8c is $1.73
