How to increase your sperm
Oligospermia is this scientific word for the low amount of sperm in men. And which can be a source of infertility.
There are, on average, 20 million sperm per ml of semen. If the number is lower, then we speak of oligospermia.
There are several explanations for this disease. Hormonal abnormalities, infected semen, infection of the prostate gland, varicocele (a varicose dilation of the veins above and around the testes), damaged sperm ducts, consumption of anabolic steroids (a drug that contains the same chemical texture than testosterone), cigarettes, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, toxic chemicals, certain medications, exposure to heavy metals and radiation.
Vaginal lubricants can also be toxic to semen. We suggest some natural remedies to increase the amount of sperm. For the use of certain plants, medical advice is necessary to determine the appropriate dosage in each case.
Green tea
Green tea is a well-known antioxidant. It is also a plant that stimulates fertility because it neutralizes free radicals that can damage sperm. According to a 2012 study published in the journal Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, green tea contains a chemical called epigallocatechin gallate, which can improve sperm quality and sperm motility.
However, a high concentration of this chemical compound can have the opposite effect. Therefore, drink 1 or 2 cups of green tea for better fertility.
Ginseng
Ginseng (or panax ginseng) is often used in traditional Chinese medicine to combat stress. However, this herb is also used to increase testosterone levels, sperm quantity and motility, improve male fertility and improve the quality of erections. Take 1 to 3 capsules of 500 mg panax ginseng daily for at least 3 months. However, before starting this diet, consult your doctor.
Garlic
Garlic is a natural aphrodisiac that can increase semen production. Garlic contains allicin, which stimulates the endurance of the sperm and improves blood circulation. In addition, the selenium in this food helps improve sperm motility. Add 1 or 2 crushed garlic cloves to your meals for best results.
The tribulus
Tribulus is an herb used in Ayurvedic medicine to increase the amount of sperm and change the level of hormones in the body. In 2012, a scientific study in India also proved that this aphrodisiac herb can treat oligospermia just as well. Take 1 to 3 capsules of 500 mg tribulus every day for a few months, only after consulting your doctor.
Maca root powder
Maca is a plant cultivated as a food, which helps improve sperm production and sperm motility. It promotes fertility, virility and balances hormones in the body. Take between 2 to 3 teaspoons of maca roots daily for a few months. Add this powder to a glass of water, a smoothie or sprinkle it on cereal. Maca root is high in fiber, so it would be best to start with ½ teaspoon and increase the dose after a few weeks.
