Growing every Christmas my parents would take my brother and l to Melbourne City, to see the Myer Christmas Windows and Santa and go to the Myers Rooftop for rides and of course the Foy's Christmas Santa beckoning you with his finger. We would always also visit Darrel Lea and we would always buy a Bo Peep jar of lollies. These were the best memories.

There was nothing better than going into the Darrel Lea shops, you could smell them before you got near the door.
Woolies sells some of their items but it's not the same.

Oh you poor thing, she obviously though wanted to come and see you so came in her costume. I guess the other patients would have just thought it entertaining (not much goes on at hospitals). You were young and of course embarassed but I think she did the ward you were in a favour. It must actually have looked very funny to them. Wjat a great memory
