There was so much to love. Paris was amazing, but we also visited the Pyrenees, where I got to meet a live vulture, and pat it. It was beautiful. We spent a week in Barcelona and got to see some of Gaudi's fabulous creations. We went to CERN, the Large Hadron Collider and saw an amazing sculpture called Pondering the Infinite, and we visited Monet's garden in Giverny. We went on a fast train under the English Channel and I got to see Stonehenge, something I had wanted to do since I was a kid. I also got to catch up with a lovely friend who I hadn't seen since 1979. Back to Paris and a visit to Versailles, and on my birthday we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. It was such a wonderful night and we had dinner in one of the tower restaurants, that was the real highlight (and hubby still has never told me how much that dinner cost ha ha).Wow, thanks for sharing this photo!
What was your favourite part of the trip?
