Hints for how to manage after surgery

Hoping it's okay to ask here, I've never posted in forums before! I am having surgery on both feet next month and will be "heel walking" in special sandals and on crutches for quite a few weeks. Unfortunately 2 weeks after my surgery I will be on my own for 3 weeks as my husband has to go overseas for work. I would love to hear if members have any hints for how to manage! I have to look after myself and my 2 cats. I have a shower chair and I am hoping to buy a mobility kitchen trolley secondhand (they are ridiculously expensive new) so I can move things around the house, as carrying stuff could be difficult. I also plan to sign up for online grocery shopping. Any other tips would be most welcome!
