I was born and bred in Scotland. I have lived in Adelaide Sth Australia for 34 yrs now .I am retired and like reading,doing puzzles, and shopping .I also do volunteer work in the nursing home that worked in for 25 yrs.I have 3 adult kids and 3 grandchildren.

Welcome to the forum, Linda Wow 34 years is a long time. Do you ever still visit Scotland?

It’s been around 18 yrs since I have visited Scotland , I have a son daughter-in-law and grandson in Los Angels .I have visited them 4 times and as my grandson is only 3 yrs old , I make going there my priority. I would love to see Scotland one last time.( It’s on my bucket list )

Totally understandable. Those moments with your grandson need to be treasured. Do you have other children that live closer by?

I have a son, daughter , son in law, granddaughter and grandson.

Oh, that's great If it's ever affordable, it would be great if your whole family could do the Scotland trip together. It would be fun for them to find out more about their heritage.

My daughter and her husband want to take their two kids there . The kids are half Greek and half Scottish born in Oz.

That's crazy! Is your son-in-law from Greece itself or is he also first generation like your daughter?

My son in law was born of Greek parents,here in Adelaide.My three kids were all born in Scotland they were aged 10, 7 and 4 when we migrated here.
