I live in S.A, I am married and have an adult son, 3 dogs, chooks, a canary, love to attract magpies and any other birds to our garden, sometimes I have the fortunate experience to have mum and baby magpie come to our garden and love it!

Yes I love to have the magpies coming to our garden, as any other birds, I leave them food, and am so happy when they come to visit, sometimes mum,. dad, and baby come to visit and dad gives the squawking baby food, it is such a delight to watch them, I have had a magpie in the past, that I be friended, just by chance the other magpies were giving him a hard time, tried to protect him,. any way he used to come and sit on the clothes horse and let us know he was here for a feed, which we used to do, and loved it, but not sure after a few months he didn't come back and I miss him!

Probably found new territory and a mate.don’t worry he’ll find another sucker to feed him and his new mate.and babies.like most birds there very territorial.
