Hi Members, THIS IS NO JOKE !

Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, the Owner of our Rental wants us to move out.

My wife and I popped round to the local shopping center and as we got out of our car, we heard a lady shouting [ He's Hit my Car, He's Hit my Car ]
Suddenly a Toyota Prada came reversing back at speed and crashed into the back of our car.
Surely he will stop and check that my wife and I are OK, as he almost crushed me into the back of my car and nearly run my wife over.
NO, OFF HE WENT, [ HIT AND RUN ]
I done all the right things and reported the incident to the Police Ect Ect
Not to Worry too much, we have Fully Comprehensive Insurance so I made a claim for the damage.
Now this is the Funny Part of this True Story, THE INSURANCE COMPANY WROTE BACK TO ME AFTER MAKING THE CLAIM, TELLING ME THAT I HAD TO GIVE THEM THE NAME AND THE CONTACT DETAILS OF THE HIT AND RUN DRIVER,if not I would have to pay the Excess, Ha Ha Ha, Can you imagine it, Running after someone who is driving like crazy to get away shouting Excuse Me You Hit & Run Driver, Give me your Name and Contact Details.

Back and Forth with Emails and Phone calls, all too much, in the end I told my insurer to not bother with the claim, they where making it too hard.

NEXT.

Hope you at least got his rego plate.
Yes, I got his number plate and reported it to the Police, I have not published it here in case of any legal repercussions against the Seniors Discount Club, I know it sounds crazy but the Police say they cant help me any further and I was told the case was closed.
I think the moral of this story is for Members to CHECK THE FINE PRINT OF ANY INSURANCE and certainly identify who the UNDERWRITER IS as it is the Underwriter you will have to deal with in most cases and Not the direct Insurance Company that you believe you pay your premiums to.
Members also need to be made aware that Police DO NOT ATTEND if you have a Crash in a Shopping Centre Car Park unless there is serious injury caused.
In my case I had CCTV coverage too from a Garage that was submitted to Police but the Shopping Centre Camera's although they where there, they did not work and the management said they needed to have the cameras replaced.

What suburb did this happen in and what shopping centre .
I think put the reg number up here.

If you give the rego to the insurance company they will chase it up. That's like giving them the name and address.

Also if you tell the RTA what happened they can trace them

Hopefully you find another rental quickly and the agent gives you time.

Look on the bright side you or your wife were not hurt
