your honesty your compassion your caring nature your smile your personality and your courage.
Age shall never define us
those lines and scars are battle wounds of the long way we have come through many battles we have fought no matter what we have had to endure , wear them with pride for they are your strength.
We may look weary we may look old
but we have fought those battles and many stories have been told,
our hearts have been broken many many times it's true
but we've held it together and we've made it threw
the lines maybe showing and the eyes may droop
but we still stand tall without a painfull stoop
we've fought our battles and we've at times seemed weak
but we got back up and back on our feet
for me the road to freedom when you get dragged down
is oh so sweet when you can wear your crown
when you've been Ill treated by someone you adore
you learn to be more carefully not to pic another war
the scars there are plenty from battle times it's true
but we learn to stand tall and we. Start our lives anew
so what do I love about you what is it that I see
it's a person with a kind heart a person just like me
I've fought the same battles and the scars cut deep
but I have moved many steps forward
and landed on my feet
they say when one door closes another you'll see
so slam the old one tightly shut and lock it with a key
the eyes can be filled with sadness as they are a window to the soul
but the heart is as big as you want it best move forward and reach your goal
So when you look in the mirror
and your thinking whoa is me
Remember what you've come threw
And just what is there to see
Then look a little deeper and raise a glass of two
cause that person looking back
Is the better part of you
It's the soldier that stood steadfast
With a heavy heavy heart
But it's a person who fought a battle
Who now has a brand new start
So walk on tall be proud of who you are
those scars they don't define you
They prove that your a star !!!
