'Hell on Earth!': Bondi Beach video sparks outrage

Ah, Bondi Beach… truly one of Australia’s natural treasures!
With its iconic golden sand and shimmering waters, it's a popular spot to soak in the sun and make the most of spectacular ocean views.
So, naturally, when a heatwave bears down on people on a sunny weekend, Bondi Beach is exactly where thousands flock to cool off.
While some would welcome the sight as a true mark of its place in Aussie culture, others aren’t too pleased.
Case in point: A video of the beach that showed scores of beachgoers gathered on the sand and playing in the shallows recently spread like wildfire on social media.
'Oh my god, look at the people on the beach,' the man who filmed the video said.
He said they had tried going to three different beaches but claimed 'they all looked the same'.
The clip has been viewed around 735,000 times and was flooded with negative comments from beachgoers.
'Sydney is hell on earth,' one commented.
'Bondi Beach is Australia's biggest lie to the rest of the world,' another said.
'It's the start of spring, imagine summer,' a third said.
Other users also went ahead and squashed any notion of the crowded beach as an occasional event.
'This is a daily occurrence at Bondi, it's always this packed,' one pointed out.
'I thank myself every day for moving to Perth,' said another.
'This is why I’m glad I work weekends and have two weekdays off, no one’s at the beach,' another shared.
And a seventh shared: 'I am happy when everyone goes to Bondi. I go somewhere else and there is enough space for me.
Other users suggested travelling elsewhere and forgetting Sydney’s packed beaches, with one saying: 'I live in Sydney. Worst beaches in NSW. Go down south, not overcrowded and way more beautiful.'
While another suggested: 'Come to the mid-north coast. Whole beach to yourself and no paid parking.'
'[This is] the reason why I won't live in the city,' a third added.
Busy scenes were also witnessed at Coogee Beach over the weekend as many took advantage of the early Spring heatwave.

So, being under the Sun's eye without proper protective clothing or sunscreen can amplify those chances, especially on these extremely crowded beach days.
