Australian designer Alice McCall has revealed a heartbreaking health battle that has left her awaiting answers.
The 48-year-old spoke candidly in a raw video filmed from her car, sharing that doctors had discovered multiple lesions on her bones.
Her words carried both pain and hope, as she admitted she was struggling but determined to keep faith in her healing journey.
McCall said she was undergoing more tests this week at a cancer hospital after doctors found five lesions on her hips and one on her spine.
‘I’m doing more tests on my bones to see if I actually do have bone cancer or not,’ she said.
‘I don’t feel great. I feel it’s almost like acid through my body, my bones.’
Known for her whimsical and feminine creations that graced red carpets and runways worldwide, McCall reflected on how her health battle had reshaped her physically and spiritually.
‘I feel like that old me has kind of died, and I’m trying to navigate and just come into my centre and work out what drives me and what guides me,’ she told her 30,000 followers.
‘I’m very spiritual, and I just want to talk about light and love. But my health is really down.’
The designer shared she was also living with multiple chronic conditions, including a functional neurological disorder and spinal stenosis.
‘I’m not saying this for pity. I’m saying this just to connect with what I’m going through, and I actually believe this is my journey. I’m just trying to figure out why,’ she said.
Despite her declining health, McCall remained hopeful.
‘I think the body is kind of a miracle in the way it’s designed, and I believe I can heal,’ she said, before thanking her followers for their ongoing support.

Earlier this month, McCall announced that she would be shutting down her fashion label for the second time due to her illness.
‘Unfortunately I’m having to close my brand down again very soon as I just can’t work at the moment … I want to send appreciation to my business partners for believing in me and the investment, but we now need to close, as I’m dealing with severe health issues,’ she said on 15 August.
Founded in 2004, her eponymous brand became one of Australia’s most recognisable labels, with celebrities such as Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, Katy Perry, and Margot Robbie wearing her designs.
Comments of support poured in following her video, with friends and fans sending messages of love and encouragement.
