Have you ever found yourself scolded for not noticing the obvious?

Hey there! Let's dive right into a fun question for you: Ever been in a situation where you got scolded for not noticing something totally obvious? You know, like those times when the keys were chilling on the kitchen counter, but somehow managed to escape your attention? Or how about missing all those signs that someone actually had a crush on you? It happens to the best of us, right?

This intriguing question comes from our very own member, Johnny P., who definitely knows how to craft a thought-provoking query! We'd love to hear your take on it, so put on your thinking cap and feel free to share your experiences in this lively forum post. Get ready to dive into some engaging conversation!

As a token of gratitude for participating, here's an unrelated video of very guilty looking dogs (did they not spot the obvious too?):

The glasses on the head! Better yet, gesticulating with the glasses in your hand, demanding where they are?!? My dear husband has been guilty of both these scenarios! And let’s not even go down the path of misplaced phones! That is such a regular occurrence in our household that it’s become the norm.

Mine's a bit serious but just funny in hindsight --- I once left the fire on in the stove after cooking and while I was eating.

My sister, who found the pan near-smoking hot, understandably was not pleased :ROFLMAO:

Omigosh! Yeah, ida smacked you! I have a propensity for leaving the iron on. (It’s actually all a plot so I never have to turn the damned thing on again, but, ssshhhhhh, don’t tell anyone)…🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's true that I was in my thirties, when I called out to my partner at the time by saying "come look at this darlin!" she came in from another room and said "What' is it?" I said "Look at this,'" I said, while moving it backwards and forwards with my thumb.

"There's a little slidy thing on the handle of the vacuum cleaner!" She looked at me as she reached around and very gently kitten cuffed me at the back of my head and turned to walk away. "

"What?' I said, "Look there's a little slidy thing, here on the handle, how long has this been on there?" she approached me again, bent over, stared down at it, then back up at me, and again lightly kitten Cuffed me at the back of my head and walked off.

I watched her walk away and so I called out and said "I guess it's always been on their huh?"

She raised her index finger to the sky shaking it, while walking down the hallway into the next room.

I guess I didn't vacuum much, was the agreed to conclusion.

My sister nearly did! She was livid that I was so careless and could have burned us all down with such a simple mistake :ROFLMAO: I was a bit under the weather, so I wasn't in top shape, but she was having none of it!

Now that you mention it, I've always wondered what that bit was for
