Finding the perfect wall paint for your home can get quite frustrating.
Can you relate? We sure can, and we have the perfect hack to fix it!
Designer Cara Newhart has taken to TikTok to share a video demonstrating a DIY hack for perfecting the art of colour matching.

In the TikTok video, the designer said that in order to find the best white paint for your walls, all you need to do is to cut a tiny bit of your wall.
Cut out your wall? You read that right! Cara has indeed used a retractable knife to take off a small square piece of the wall behind an outlet cover in her home.
After extracting the piece, Cara heads off to the nearest home supplies store to scan the colour of the piece.
The designer says: "You want to go somewhere where they digitally scan to match."
"By scanning a tiny sample of your actual wall, you'll get the perfect shade that matches exactly."
For those of you who have never done this step before, we encourage you to call your local Bunnings store if they have a colour scan before heading to the store and asking for assistance.

The video went viral, amassing more than 173,000 views and hundreds of comments from astounded TikTok users who expressed their keenness to try the hack for themselves.
Others offered their own advice on the matter.
One comment read: "If you can bring something that’s about the size of a quarter, even better!"
Another pointed out that the trick may not work for sun-lit rooms as direct sun exposure will change the colours of your wall over time.
