Here, There and Everywhere?
Handsome Lad With Nurses

A handsome young lad went into the hospital for some minor surgery, and the day after the procedure a friend stopped by to see how the guy was doing. His friend was amazed at the number of nurses who entered the room in short intervals with refreshments, offers to fluff his pillows, make the bed, give back rubs, etc. “Why all the attention?” the friend asked, “You look fine to me.”

“I know!” grinned the patient. “But the nurses kind of formed a little fan club when they all heard that my circumcision required twenty-seven stitches.”

In my very early working years I was a nurse, and it was the days when nurses were still required to shave male theatre patients. One young nurse was concerned as she had never done one before. I explained that you pushed all the bits to one side, shaved, pushed them back and finished the shave. About 5 minutes later she burst from the room, very red and in tears. She yelled across the ward that “it stood up on me!” I went and placated the patient and finished the shave. Then I spoke with the young nurse and outlined the use of a cold wet flannel and, if necessary, a chilled teaspoon. That incident was in 1974 and it’s still alive and well in my memories today 😁😁

The very last time I donated blood, my blood pressure was a bit over the limit. A very senior nurse came in and asked the young cute nurse too leave. My blood pressure came into acceptable limits shortly after that. Us males are sooo easily "distracted".

Your comment reminded me when I went in to get my appendix out some old chap came to the bed and laid out his gear. And tod me the he was here to shave me? I said no your not? as he had a cutthroat razor, he said that something smart about it would be different if it was a nurse I said it wouldn't Iwas in for an appendectomy not a circumcision and I'd shave myself. I don't think he could believe that I knew how to use one.
