My dear old cat was 19 when she died. She used to follow me like a little dog. I saved her from being drowned at 6 weeks. She is irreplaceable.

Try a Sphynx cat... they have no fur and are very loving and gentle.

It is not their fur it is their saliva on the fur that makes you allergic as far as I am aware. I love my cats, even though the doctors tell me I am allergic. Their unconditional love makes up for everything else.
