Hacks queen shares ‘three life hacks you’ll wish you knew sooner’ – including the ultimate trick to taming fuzzy hair

Have you ever stumbled across a brilliant piece of advice that completely changed the way you do things for the better? If so, then you may want to read on…

One of our favourite sources for trusty, all-around hacks, Chantel Mila, has delivered yet again. This time, it’s three little-known tricks to make your life easier – from how to tame fuzzy hair strands to how you can make your perfume last longer!

Chantel Mila shared a now-viral TikTok video to demonstrate each tip, immediately capturing the attention of thousands as it received a whopping 103,000 views in just a day.

“Which one will you try first?” she captioned the video.

The well-loved TikTok creator kicked things off with an easy solution for those who always struggle with hair flyaways.

She starts by grabbing a piece of aluminium foil and running it through her hair in a downwards motion, effectively putting the fuzzy strands in place before flaunting her gorgeous locks to prove that the tip works like magic.

According to Well + Good, aluminium foil does the job because the metal is a ‘conductor’. This means that it collects and transfers the electric charge from your hair.

“Since hair is negatively charged, when it gains extra positive electrons from changes in weather and friction, the result is static hair,” they wrote on their website.

"Rubbing strands with tin foil stops static in its tracks, smooths strands, keeps fly-aways at bay, and restores shine, so hair doesn't look brittle or damaged."

The clever hack serves as a safe option for instantaneous, static-free results.

Then, Mama Mila proceeded by revealing how to make your favourite perfume last longer. She simply applies a fragrance-free lotion onto her skin before spraying perfume on it. This is mainly because dry skin doesn't hold perfume as efficiently as moisturised skin does.

“Applying unscented lotion before you spritz on your perfume will moisturize your skin and lock in your fragrance better.” Fragrancex detailed.

For the third and final ‘life hack’, the TikTok star revealed how to light multi-wick candles at the same time without burning your fingers.

Start by lighting up one wick before tilting the candle sideways so that the flame catches onto the second wick. How did we not think of this?

Many were blown away by the first hair hack, flocking to the comments section of Mama Mila’s TikTok video to express their awe.

“I can’t wait to try the foil trick!” one user exclaimed, to which the legend herself responded: “So simple and effective!”

“These are great tips.” praised another.

A third said: “The candle one – thank you. Lol!”

And one more suggested: “Hair spray and a piece of tissue also help with flyaways.”

Which tip is your favourite? Share your thoughts with us in the comments! We’d love to hear them.
