Hackers take over government screens, airs strange Trump-Musk footage

In a surprising incident that left employees at a government office both amused and puzzled, television screens were unexpectedly taken over by a bizarre video.

The footage, appearing almost satirical, featured AI-generated figures in an unusual and unexpected scenario, sparking curiosity and confusion among viewers.

The video, emblazoned with the phrase 'Long Live the Real King,' quickly became social media after a HUD insider leaked the footage to Vox reporter Rachel Cohen.

The surreal scene raised eyebrows and questions about the security of government systems and the intent behind the hack.

While the source of the hack remains a mystery, the HUD quickly responded, with spokesperson Kasey Lovett condemning the incident as a 'waste of taxpayer dollars and resources.'

Lovett assured the public that the department would take 'appropriate action' against anyone within the agency found to be responsible.

The hack comes amid growing tensions within the federal workforce, particularly in response to Elon Musk's aggressive approach to streamlining government operations.

Musk, who serves as a special adviser to the president, has spearheaded the Trump administration's DOGE program to enhance government efficiency. However, his methods have not been well-received by all.

Government workers have expressed increasing frustration with Musk's initiatives, especially after he emailed demanding employees to account for their weekly accomplishments.

The email, which required a list of approximately five bullet points and a CC to their manager, was seen by many as overbearing and intrusive.

Musk's warning that a failure to comply would be considered a resignation only added fuel to the fire.

The backlash against Musk's tactics has been growing, with some federal employees labelling him an 'unelected dictator' and calling for his dismissal.

Despite the uproar, President Trump has continued to support Musk's efforts to combat waste, fraud, and abuse within the government.

Musk, for his part, seems to be taking the controversy in stride. At the Conservative Political Action Conference, he was celebrating a gift of a chrome-enhanced chainsaw from Argentinian President Javier Milei, embracing his role as a living meme.

'It’s like, there’s living the dream, and there’s living the meme. And that’s pretty much what’s happening, you know,' Musk quipped.

The incident at HUD is a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities within government systems and the potential for technology to be used unexpectedly.

It also highlighted the ongoing debate over the role of private sector figures in public service and the balance between efficiency and respect for government employees.

As we navigate the complexities of modern governance, it's clear that cybersecurity and the management of federal operations will remain hot topics.

prove your statement with PROOF before bleating on. none so blind as a jealous person.
Jealous of what?? Donald Trump??
He's the laughing stock of the world. He brags how he won in a landslide. Seventy something million crazy yanks voted for him, so that leaves over 220 million who didn't vote for him. Complacency won him the election, not popularity, but he's too stupid and full of himself to figure that out. Just how he can't figure out how bad tariffs will be for the people of his own country, despite being told this by many senior economists who actually know what they're talking about.

Proof. can't you read, see or hear.
There are all sorts of Yankee newspapers on the internet. It's been in our own newspapers, on the news on TV. Just how much proof do you need?

thank you for this. the ones who complain are blind to the truth and are abc or as you say msm. i love fox for the truth.
Jest you do realise that Fox is very right wing, so I don’t think you’re going to get the truth from them either. Obviously they suit your views which is fine, but I most certainly don’t!

I really don't understand your attitude. I was under the impression that Seniors Discount Club was a forum where seniors could debate and share information with a reasonable expectation of being treated with respect. We're all adults after all. Politics is my thing. I love the intricacies of it and the twists and turns.

There are members of this club with knowledge on many topics that I'm hopeless at. One of our members shares lots of recipes that I wouldn't have a clue how to cook with any degree of success. I wouldn't dream of telling her she thinks she's superior to everyone because she's a good cook. I'm sure you have many talents and abilities that I don't. I'd love to hear about them. I don't feel threatened by the fact that others can do things I can't, and in fact, I celebrate them.

As I don't know you, I won't pretend to know why you answered me the way you did. I could speculate and say that I expressed an opinion different from your own. However I want you to know that your comment hasn't upset me in the least. Because of physical disabilities, I was bullied through 12 years of schooling, so comments like yours don't bother me. Furthermore, I don't understand why people bother wasting their time and energy writing comments that don't add to the discussion and are just plain nasty.
So why pick on mylittletibbies? There have been lots of put downs from the trump supporters, but I suppose you don’t see it that way. I personally can’t understand how any rational, free thinking person who cares about other people can support a bully like trump.

This shit is why I despise AI technology, it has the potential to cause real harm. Future generations won't know what's real and what's fake. Now we even have it when googling medical conditions, recently it was reported that some were inaccurate. It also has the potential to put many wonderful photographers out of work!

So right! Fox News is a part of Rupert Murdoch's "empire of shit".

He is a member of the billionaire's club, which have crooks such as Musk, Trump and Bezos, who deal in "dark money" in order to use currency to control governments.

The Russia Collusion Hoax was proven to be just that, one of many...a Hoax. Lies and inuendo has been the weapon of the communists since its beginning.. It may only be a four year hiatus for some, but I see Republicans going for many terms beyond that.....Sorry Trump Haters.

My comment in favour of President Trump was taken straight off, which by the way was not abusive, no swearing like others that you have against the American President being allwed to stay on here....so sad...goodbye. Don't send any more to me thankyou.

Thank God for President Trump and Elon Musk. They traipsed the countryside telling voters this is exactly what they would do - cut government spending. The people responded, and voted accordingly.

To follow are a few examples of the WASTE and ABUSE:
The list literally goes on and on — and it has all been happening for decades.

Under President Trump, the waste, fraud, and abuse ENDS NOW.

This is tax-payers money. With the billions of dollars they have saved, 20% of that total is going BACK TO THE TAX-PAYERS.

What is it missing from those who do not understand this? You really need to change your source of truth...or at least open your mind to hear both sides of the MSM jibberish you are listening to.
Where the hell do you get your info ?
What their doing is putting money back to the people, everyone is going to receive a stimulus check $5k , which is better than Biden giving $700 to a household that lost the home and property in North Carolina and the Fires in California, Malibu , Palasaides, etc
And now they’re finding the billions of dollars that has been fraudulently stolen, and it extends to Australia as well !
And you say that their bad people for doing what all governments should be doing ?
Working for the people !!
I respectfully ask you where you get your info?. I might have to check your resources too

I uh
Well, thank you very much MaccaMan! You have literally stolen all the stuff I was going to say! 😂 Seriously though, you forgot the $5.1m in aid to Haiti. Funny thing is, it never got there. Somehow or other, it ended up in the pocket of Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary. It bought her and her husband a very nice house.

You make a point about the MSM. They're all in the pocket of BlackRock, the world's largest financier. BlackRock dictates the terms and the media lackeys tug their forelocks and do as they're told. BlackRock was responsible for Woolies pulling their Australia Day merchandise off the shelves last year. Money, as ever, talks.

I'll make two further points: because my views are against the prevailing narrative, I'm constantly attacked, both online and in person. I love it! It stimulates me mentally. During these debates, I almost always say, 'Don't believe a thing you see, hear or read on mainstream media.' They almost always reply, 'I don't.' They then proceed to continue debating by quoting excerpts from last night's news or something they read in the paper.

Secondly, apparently the American left wingers are upset by what Musk is doing, because he wasn't elected to the position. For many years now, I've been saying and writing that Australia isn't governed by the elected government. We're governed by public servants, who are almost exclusively left wing. They support Labor governments and white ant coalition governments. For the most part, they're faceless and nameless. Elon Musk is doing everything necessary in the full glare of the public spotlight. The public servants have spent the last 50+ years spending like drunken sailors on causes close to their hearts, and employing IT experts to ensure that their corruption was hidden behind such a convoluted web of lies, that it was going to be almost impossible to untangle it. They failed. Too bad,so sad!
And you know all this because???
You read it somewhere, saw it on the TV, plucked it out of thin air??
Money meant for Haiti bought a house for Chelsea Clinton. I don't know anyone who has heard this story. Do you have secret spies in the White House or can you explain where you heard this, seeing you don't get your information from internet, papers or TV.

I never at any time said I don't get my information from the internet. I subscribe to several international news services, some European, others American. These news services are independent.

Case in point: When Trump was serving his first term as president, he was accused of using Russian interference to win the election. A huge enquiry followed, costing millions of taxpayer dollars, only to find in Trump's favour. I went online on a Saturday morning and read the news from an American news source. As the Australian media is so anti Trump, I waited for the news that night to see how this finding would be presented. Crickets. Sunday night - crickets again. I couldn't believe that something that had been a major news item for months, was suddenly dead in the water. On Monday night, 60 hours after I read the news, it was broadcast on mainstream media in Australia.

You seem to think I'm a Trump lover. Nothing could be further from the truth. He's a bombastic buffoon. BUT, as a student of politics for so long, I like his politics. For the most part. As I said before, I really don't understand your antipathy towards my point of view. I'm simply trying to wake people up to the fact that the Australian mainstream media, particularly the ABC, is lying to the Australian public. They lie by commission and omission.

A lot of us also read American news online, as well as news articles from British & European sources, but obviously not what you come across. Mainstream media has had very little cricket coverage lately because they’re not broadcasting it at present, so goodness knows what you’re watching or listening to. I’m grateful that Australian media outlets are avoiding too much Trump in their evening bulletins as most of us have read a certain amount about his antics during the day & honestly can’t endure anymore. I loathe everything about the man including his politics.
Have a good day Jordie!

Very strange. I also subscribe to severalI news sources and my recollection was that it was found there was Russian collusion in the previous election.
They couldn't prove Trump was involved in it .but he definitely benefited from it .
As far as his policies go.He seems to think running a country is like one big real estate deal.
And you think ripping the country apart to save supposed billions and then give his billionaire friends massive tax cuts, the same as he did last time, is good policy.
Surely, if all this rorting was going on and billions of dollars could be found good policy would be to decrease the country's massive debt, rather than line his and his wealthy friends pockets.

Sorry, but are you reading this thread properly? The same goes for those liking your comment. I replied to a comment by MacMan, agreeing with what he said and adding some thoughts of my own. mylittletibbies answered my comment with rudeness and sarcasm. I replied with respect for her point of view. She then came back at me again. Just this morning, I replied to her most recent attempt to put me down, by explaining how and where my information comes from.

At no time have I become rude or insulting, so how you come to the conclusion that I'm 'picking on' her, I really don't understand. I'm defending my point of view against rudeness and sarcasm.

For the nth time on this group, I BELIEVE TRUMP IS A LOUD MOUTHED BUFFOON! Do you all understand that?! I don't like the man, but I fully agree with what he's doing with his forensic examination of America's finances, and in fact believe Australia needs to do the same. I'm not a supporter of Trump the man but I believe it's necessary to be able to separate a man or woman from their politics.

I have & enjoy reading a subscription with New York Times - which Mudoch doesn't own. It's a very informative newspaper. Unlike Elon, his mother is an extremely popular lady.
