Group of housemates discover a “creepy” shrine in their attic!

In a story that seems like it was lifted straight out of a creepy horror film, a group of housemates were exploring the attic of a rental house when they came across a shocking and unexpected discovery.

On TikTok, Matt Martin shared a series of videos documenting his girlfriend’s rental house located at Fitzroy, Melbourne. In the attic, they discovered that it was housing a “stalker shine” from a previous owner, made from different items of memorabilia.
Some of the items they discovered were faded-out photos of a man, an old leather jacket, a pair of denim jeans and worn-out shoes, plastic packets containing chewed gum, used bandaids, a cigarette, and many more; all of these hanging on the room’s brick wall.
Before renting the place, Matt said they were told some “personal items” from a previous tenant were left, but they never expected to find these. “We were all kinda creeped out,” he said.
“No one wanted to sleep there that night.”
In the follow-up video, Matt said that the housemates have already notified the local police regarding the incident. However, they were told that the police can’t do anything unless “a body part was found”.
So they decided to bring the footage to the authorities at Fitzroy Police Station instead, who were supportive and took down a report of their findings.
The housemates also tried to contact the landlord who bought the property but they were unresponsive.
Matt said they were left to decide whether to throw the things out or leave them as it is.
But since there’s no harm coming from keeping the “stalker shrine”, they agreed to just accept it and move on.
Some users commented that it might be a cold case waiting to be solved or a suspicious person’s “trophy room”, however, Matt brushed off the comments and said the items were probably an art installation, or simply from a “creep with a weird obsession with a footy player”.
Either way, it still looks creepy and disturbing!
