Greater​

This is "Greater", one of the two beautiful Flamingos in the Adelaide Zoo. You might remember, some years ago, some morons broke into the Zoo and beat him badly with sticks. He died a few years ago. I think his partner has also gone now. Sadly there is an embargo on the import of Flamingos to Australia so we'll never have any more until someone gets real. There are millions of them in the World and despite asking the Zoo, no-one could tell me why. Anyway, this is a shot I took of him a few years before he died...

Thank you bugsytom, yes we love it as well, A pity they moved so much up to the Monarto Zoo but it had to be done as it's the best for the larger animals.
