I've always loved Cottage Pie.
This recipe you can also use lamb mince then it becomes a Sheperd pie
Note
You can add other vegetables of choice eg peas or corn

Ingredients
- 1kg beef mince
- 1 onion diced
- 1 carrot diced
- 2 celery sticks diced
- 1/2 red pepper
- 2 beef stock cubes
- 3 tbs cornflour
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tbs tomato sauce
- 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups water
- 3 cups mashed potato
- 1 splash milk
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
Method
- Fry onion, carrot, celery and pepper in a deep frypan with salt and pepper until softened.
- Add the mince and remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Spoon mixture into a baking dish, and top with mashed potato.
- Brush top with milk and bake at 185C for approximately 40 minutes or until potato has browned.
