Incredible news from the UK: scientists at the University of Nottingham have developed a rapid test that can diagnose brain tumours in under two hours.

Traditional diagnosis can take up to six weeks – this new method could mean quicker treatment and less stress for patients. The tech has had a 100% success rate in tests so far.

Neurosurgeons say this will dramatically change how decisions are made. It’s a hopeful leap forward in cancer care.

Japan is officially the first country to begin clinical trials for artificial blood. This groundbreaking project, led by Nara Medical University, hopes to solve global shortages in blood donations, especially important in ageing populations like Japan’s.

The new tech uses expired red blood cells and may one day replace the need for matching blood types.

If successful, this innovation could become life-saving standard care by 2030. It’s a powerful reminder of science meeting real-world needs.
