125gm butter
1egg
1/2 cup castor sugar
1cup self raising flour

1cup crushed cornflakes
1tablespoon golden syrup
Handful crushed almonds
1teaspoon vanilla essence
Cream together the butter and sugar
Add the egg and vanilla essence and beat together
Sift in the flour
Add the cornflakes,nuts and golden syrup mix well
Put teaspoons of the mixture on to a well greased oven tray,allowing room for spreading.
Bake in a moderate oven 150 to 180 deg not fan
forced for 15 minutes.
Loosen on tray and allow to cool
Enjoy

It’s actually a recipe I found on the net I just typed in walnut and date slice and all these recipes came up. So it’s not mine I do it all the time. I just add or subtract ingredients to suit what’s in my pantry. Which ain’t much these days.

It’s dope so I took it out cos I don’t use cannabis and I only put it in there for a joke.
I can post recipes there in my head what I make but It’ll take me ages to sort it out of my head. If that makes sense I’m abit long winded.

Not sad dad was riddled with cancer from smoking died a horrific death at 85 and mum ended up with emphysema and dementia died at 92. So all good there at peace.
