The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes the hustle and bustle of preparing for festive celebrations. For many, this means home improvements and last-minute dashes to the local hardware store.
But for those living in regional Australia, the trek to Bunnings can be a bit more challenging.
That's why Bunnings Warehouse, the beloved one-stop shop for home improvement, has partnered with Uber Eats to simplify holiday preparations.
In a move that's sure to bring cheer to DIY enthusiasts and home improvers, Bunnings has announced that over 60 of its stores across regional Australia will offer same-day parcel delivery this holiday period.
This innovative service is a result of a collaboration with Uber Eats, known for its speedy food delivery but now expanding its horizons to include parcel delivery as well.
Here's how it works: customers can place their orders for parcel-sized items on the Bunnings website at any of the 63 participating regional stores.
To ensure your items arrive on the same day, make sure to complete your online purchase by 2 p.m. Your order will then be delivered to your doorstep by 7 p.m.
When checking out, shoppers will be presented with the option to choose between economy delivery, click and collect, or the new same-day parcel delivery service.
This added convenience is a testament to Bunnings' commitment to customer satisfaction, as expressed by Bunnings Chief Operating Officer Ryan Baker.
‘We're committed to offering our customers the best experience, widest range and lowest prices, and same-day parcel delivery across regional Australia is another way we can improve this offering,’ Baker said.
‘Some customers value coming into the store to browse, talk to the team and enjoy the Bunnings experience, such as a coffee in the café or the sausage sizzle hosted by a local community group. But for others, the convenience of delivery is preferred.’
‘This builds on our current same-day parcel delivery offering across metro Australia, bringing more convenience to our regional customers and hopefully helping to ease some of the stress this time of year can bring.’
Uber has teamed up with 45 metropolitan Bunnings stories to bring same-day parcel delivery with added flexibility.
Uber Direct ANZ General Manager Duncan Petit expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the joy of convenient delivery that regional Australians can now experience.
‘We're helping Bunnings beat the festive freeze on delivery, allowing their busy regional customers the flexibility and convenience of shopping right up until 2 p.m. on 23 December,’ he said.
‘Bunnings is offering economical same-day parcel delivery for its customers via Uber's delivery network with a flat fee for all same-day deliveries placed online,’ Petit added.
The service comes with a flat fee of $15 for all same-day deliveries placed online, ensuring transparency and affordability.
Deliveries will be available within a 15-kilometre radius from the selected Bunnings stores to the customer's home, making it a practical option for many.
