Get this iconic item for less! Kmart's new dupe for a $900 buy is ‘incredible’

Everyone loves a good bargain – especially when items look designer but cost a fraction of the price.

So, you can imagine our delight when we discovered that Kmart has just released a dupe for a very popular (and expensive!) item, and it's part of their Black Friday sale no less!

Kmart's Black Friday sale is now on, and there are some seriously good deals to be had. The retail giant recently announced it was dropping 113 limited-edition items in stores – including a ‘Full-Length Hollywood Mirror’ for just $279.

While it’s not the cheapest find you’ll see in Kmart’s catalogue, savvy shoppers and social media users alike have pointed out the huge price difference between Kmart’s version and the iconic light-up mirrors sold by other outlets online.

But what makes them so popular? Hollywood Mirrors (as they are called) have been around for years now and have been used in celebrity dressing rooms. The lightbulbs adorning the mirror on all sides give adequate illumination akin to natural lighting – making it less likely for people to make mistakes when doing their makeup.

However, these mirrors sell for more than AUD $1,000 online. One Aussie brand offers a similar version for AUD $850, while another brand sells it for AUD $900.

Shoppers were delighted to find Kmart’s budget version of the popular mirror, saying that it’s ‘an absolute steal’.

‘That Hollywood mirror is such a bargain,’ said one shopper on TikTok.

‘This is honestly an incredible price. It’s hundreds of dollars cheaper than other brands,’ added another.

A third wrote: ‘What a deal! So good.’

Kmart’s $280 dupe contains 20 ‘Hollywood style’ LED lights and has three settings: cool, warm, and natural.

The mirror also has a touch sensor (how fancy!) and is fully dimmable.

Other items included in Kmart’s Black Friday sale are a huge portable gazebo which you can buy for $149, a refurbished iPhone 8 with a price tag of $219, a De’Longhi Coffee Machine on offer for $99, and a food processor which costs $79.

Kmart’s Black Friday sale kicked off at 8 AM on Thursday.

I went to Kmart on Thursday ( Pension day) specifically to buy the Simestra set that was down from $66 to $22 for 28 pieces as my precious granddaughter is moving out soon & will need to fill her pantry. It was a splendid bargain at that price& she was most thrilled with it, I would never buy an iPhone whatever the price & all the other things are of no use to me. But they were good prices.
