Get ready, shoppers! ALDI has announced its Black Wednesday deals!

Christmas is just around the corner, and like many Aussies with a knack for planning, you probably like to get your shopping done well in advance to avoid the last-minute rush.

Well, we have some good news for you!

Supermarket giant ALDI has announced its Black Wednesday Special Buys sale, with a range of home, kitchen, tech, and gaming items (perfect for the grandkids – or you!) up for grabs at cheap prices.

The sale starts on Wednesday, November 23 — two whole days before Black Friday sales begin around the country on November 25. So if you want to avoid the craziness that comes with Black Friday shopping, ALDI is definitely the place to be.

After all, who doesn't love a good bargain?

‘We know that Black Friday is a big moment on the retail calendar, so in the spirit of giving customers even more bang for their buck we’ve started the sale a whole two days early!’ said ALDI’s shopping expert Kylie Warnke.

The sale, ALDI’s kickoff to Aussies for Christmas gift buying, is where they can get great deals for the holidays, she explained.

‘With a wide range of the best value products to choose from, shoppers can find the perfect gift for their tech-obsessed loved one or treat themselves to the kitchen gadget of their dreams to make hosting and entertaining over the festive season a breeze.’

Some of the highlights in this year's sale include a 60-inch 4k Ultra HD WebOS TV for just $499, which comes with a one-year warranty. Considering that similar HD TVs would cost you around $800 minimum, this is quite a deal!

If you’re not keen on forking out $500 for a TV no matter how high-definition its images are, fret not!

A more budget-friendly option on sale is a 40-inch Full HD Android TV for $299, which also comes with a one-year warranty.

Another fantastic product available to ALDI shoppers is the Dual Zone Fridge Freezer, with a total combined capacity of 43 litres.

Its compartments can be partitioned into separate halves, with one having a 17.5L capacity and the other with 25 litres. The fridge-freezer can also cool products up to -18 degrees Celsius, so it’s perfect for summer!

De'Longhi brand’s Argento and Brillante kettles are also on sale for $69.99. The kettles can hold 1.7 litres of water, come equipped with an auto shut-off feature, and have 360-degree swivel bases that make them convenient to place in any position.

A five-piece knife set from Scanpan is also on sale for $24.99 with a two-year warranty.

The knife set includes a chef’s knife, a bread knife, a santoku knife (best for chopping and mincing), a utility knife, and kitchen shears all made with high-quality carbon and stainless steel blades and soft-touch handles.

What’s more, the knives also come with a non-stick coating for easier food release. Neat!

And for our clothes lovers, ALDI also has Tefal’s Garment Steamer on sale for $59.99.

The ‘fast’ and ‘compact’ steamer has a 15-second heat-up time perfect for those on the go. It comes with a travel bag, a fabric brush, and a cord 2.6 metres long.

Plus, the steamer comes with a one-year warranty!

Other notable home and kitchenware items up for grabs include De’Longhi brand Dedica Espresso Machines (in white and red) for $179, a De’Longhi brand 4-Slice Toaster for $89.99, a Sharp 28-litre Microwave for $179, and a frying pan twin pack from Tefal for $59.99.

I will pass this time. Specials are great but we don’t want/need anything right now.

Since I don’t need any of these items I won’t need to line up outside the doors at some ungodly hour to charge in and wrangle anything into my trolley before the few of each item available are snatched up by other customers intent on zooming in and pouncing on the items.

Just remember Aldi only keep about 2 of the larger items so you probably will miss out unless you are in the first 10 in the line. Another thing that annoys me is they sometimes do not stock the most common item so you still have to go to the other shops to get it. I have to admitted they are cheap
