It's that time of year again! For most of us, Christmas is a day to indulge in all our favourite festive foods;roast turkey, ham, rich Christmas pudding... It's a feast like no other!
Fortunately for us, Coles already gave us a taste of what to expect when it comes to their selection for the upcoming holiday season.
But if you're one of the many Australians who are now considering dietary requirements, you might be struggling to find easy entertaining ideas that will satisfy everyone.
Well, this year Coles is offering a delicious plant-based alternative to traditional Christmas ham - and it's sure to be a hit with vegans and meat-eaters alike!
Nature's Kitchen plant-based Christmas ham-style roast with vegan maple glaze is just one of more than 25 festive vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free products on offer from Coles this year.
According to Coles, aside from the plant-based ham, other options for our friends with specific diets in their selection for the holidays will include Christmas Juniper Berry Seasoned Ham (made from 100% Australian sow-stall free pork), Finest Luxury Black Forest Bombe Pudding, and Entertaining Prawns in Blankets.
‘We know that this Christmas more than ever customers will want to have the very best quality products for their family and friends, while also making their household budgets go further,’ said Coles Ambassador (and Michelin award-winning chef) Curtis Stone.
‘Our festive smoked juniper ham embodies the flavours of Christmas; it’s made from 100% Australian pork and is delicious served warm or thinly sliced cold. All of our fresh meat is 100% Australian and we are proud that our range of fresh turkeys have never been frozen. Our prawns are responsibly sourced. We can assure customers they will be in abundance and at our very best price when customers are wanting to enjoy them most,’ he added.
Coles also teamed up with Liquorland to present a wide array of options for those who are planning their Christmas Day feast — or feasts, we don’t judge — in advance.
Here are other offerings to expect from Coles for the holidays:
For Entertaining:
For Mains:
For Desserts:
For Drinks:
So many options, right? And that’s just food.
But how about planning activities? Luckily, Christmas is some weeks off, so there’s plenty of time to think.
For starters, it would be best to pick and save a celebration date of your choosing, as it helps not just you to block off a certain date, but also helps your guests navigate a time when invites come one after another.
Another tip would be to plan ahead — once you have a definite date scheduled, try making an organised list of what you need taken care of before having your gathering. You’ll find that it helps avoid last-minute concerns that can honestly ruin a good get-together.
If you have time, please check out these 10 recipes you should consider trying for Christmas, and these perfect wine and food pairings you’ll be sure to find useful
So whatever your dietary requirements may be, there's something for everyone at Coles this Christmas!
