The first - and most popular - of Chantel's recipes is her DIY linen spray. This magical concoction comprises one cup of water, one tablespoon of witch hazel (or rubbing alcohol or vodka) and 20 drops of your favourite essential oil.

Chantel likes to use lavender oil for a calming scent before bedtime. Simply mix these three things in a spray bottle together and spritz it onto your linen or pyjamas! You'll be amazed at how much better your bed smells afterwards.

For an extra freshness boost, strip your bed before spraying this mixture on and open all the windows in your bedroom to air out the mattress as well.

Next, Chantel showed how to make a DIY refrigerator spray that can be made using common household items; simply combine one cup of lukewarm water, half a cup of white vinegar, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract in a spray bottle and shake well before spritzing the solution everywhere in your fridge.

According to the cleaning guru, the DIY solution can also be used to 'cut through stuck-on mess' on your fridge; simply apply it with a cloth and scrub away any tough, caked-on stains.

To achieve a deeper, more thorough clean, Chantel advises washing the glass shelving with lukewarm water, cleaning out your fridge containers and refilling your refrigerator, as well as storing everything inside glass jars to keep the food fresher longer.

Finally, the mum advised her followers to keep a quarter cup of baking soda in a shallow bowl at the back of the fridge to prevent any unpleasant odours.

Next, Chantel delves into one of her favourite DIY recipes for a cleaner.

Combine four cups of water with two cups of vinegar and half a cup of dish soap in a bucket and stir everything thoroughly before using the solution to clean your windows. After scrubbing down your windows, wipe them dry with a soft cloth.

In one of our previous articles, we shared another recipe for a DIY window cleaner. Simply mix 1/4 cup of rinse aid (you can use Shine but any brand of rinse aid works fine), and two squirts of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of water.

Last, but certainly not least, Mama Mila shared her recipe for a kitchen cleaner that's capable of cleaning almost everything. For this recipe, all you need is equal parts water and white vinegar. You should also add a tablespoon of lemon juice for added effectiveness, and make sure to keep it in the fridge when not in use.

To use, just add the solution to a spray bottle, spritz it around a dirty kitchen area, and then wipe clean. According to Chantel, it cuts through kitchen grease and leaves her counters so sparkling, you'll be amazed.

I wish they could bottle energy and motivation together and sell it in the cleaning goods section. They could call it EMO.

I've used this and still have some in my cupboard. My daughters friend works for the company. But I still find the vinegar, water and dishwashing liquid works better and as a bonus it's cheaper

As an Aromatherapist, I have been using these recipes for years. I can't imagine having to buy cleaning products. These recipes are so much cheaper and better for the environment, and no more running to the supermarket when you run out.
