Not sure if this is "funny" but I have to tell
After surgery my carer suggested that for shopping to try Direct to Boot and she would pick up on her way to my home visit. Lets give it a try - ok - we placed my grocery order at Coles online and time etc for pick up. Was anxiously waiting to see what or if I received. Imagine when my carer returned on the second day and had a funny look on her face. she never said anything just put on the table for me to put away - can you imagine when I found 4 hands of bananas - with 5 - 7 bananas in each hand. We had ordered 4 bananas and instead received 4 hands now I have 26 pieces of fruit. Lucky she was able to take some to work to share BUT ?????
You should have got her to take them back . Coles used to be good but now they use subcontractors and they just don't care . My order was missing a few things when it FINALLY came yesterday after the DRIVER HAD CANCELLED the order which should have come the day before. After waiting all day today l looked in my mail and got message that the missing items were not going to be delivered. Now my son has gone to pick them up.lt really isn't good enough.

A few days ago, I took a sculptor, visiting from overseas, to the Maclelland Gallery and Sculpture Park in Frankston, Vic. Watching her joy as we walked every corner of the grounds, taking dozen of photos, reminded me how much pleasure a small gesture can bring. Her happiness gave me so much joy I smiled all week.
I love going there it’s a beautiful place to visit.🙂

This is sort of sad but also showed me how much my daughter needs her mum.

My daughter is due to give birth next Friday to baby no 2.
Her first baby born July 2021 was during covid lockdown and I couldn't be with her. I had never seen her so distraught.
I was however with her most of the time via the phone.

This time she was so excited and not anxious at all knowing I would definitely be with her this time.
But then on Monday I was feeling unwell and Tuesday tested Positive to Covid. My daughter cried and keeps asking me to do another test to see if it's still positive. I did one yesterday and is still positive. This morning I'm feeling much better.

I have one more test which I will do on Sunday unless she goes into labour before. I will then do it then and pray it's negative.
Her daughter has been sick since Sunday and I suspect it's also covid

It makes me feel so good seeing how much she needs me but makes me sad the stress she is feeling again because of covid.

Adding my prayers to yours, especially that the daughter at home doesn't have Covid. That would create a new set of problems.

Thinking about this topic I realised there are a lot of things that bring me joy and most involve my family.

A huge one that brings me huge amounts of joy is seeing my daily photos of baby Leo.

For those who don't know the story ,my daughter gave birth to him at only 28 weeks. He had great breathing difficulties, and when we thought everything was good, he caught RSV from one of the student nurses in NICU. We were told he had a high chance of not making it,

But now he is nearly 7 months old and is such a beautiful happy baby.

Yesterday we found out that our daughter is finally pregnant, she married late and hasn’t been able to get pregnant so they tried IVF, it failed a couple of times. No we are expecting a little on in January 2026. I will thank God everyday for this miracle and pray that all will go well for her and her husband.

We love the name Evie Rose. Rose is my middle name so she is sort of named after me.
I told my daughter I would still call her Evie I think Pepper Pig is dying down which is why they made mummy pig pregnant.

How sad that she never knew her dad. 😔

I know and it’s sad for my sister as it was her only son and the wife took Evie to Queensland to live with her new boyfriend. So my sister only sees her when she can afford to go up there, my sister still has a daughter as well.🙂
