G’day, friends! How’s your day going?

I hope you’re finding time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the things that make you happy. Lately, I’ve been diving even deeper into my love of reading—though in a way that my younger self would’ve been horrified by... I’ve started writing in my books! Yes, actually putting pen to page, leaving little notes, thoughts, and highlights. It makes each book feel more personal, almost like a conversation with my past self.

I even took it a step further—handing my favourite books to friends and asking them to write in them too. It’s like a book club but on paper! Now, whenever I re-read them, I get to see their thoughts alongside mine, which makes the experience even more special.

Whenever I give a book as a gift I write a message and the date.

Novels I don't write in them and I always gave them away after reading.
I now only read novels on my kindle.

I had hundreds of novels and found they were dust collectors.

After I had all my kids I went to tafe and did year 12. Those books were full of notes.

Studying the bible I highlighted paragraphs and add notes on every page

That's really lovely, @Suzanne rose! I'll copy you next time I gift a book.

Kindle is amazing, I love that I can bring it everywhere. Though, I still love having the physical books on my shelf.

I can't bring myself to write in books. I just like to keep them as is. I like the feel and smell of my books. I do love to write though and have lots of pads and notebooks with all sorts scribbled in them. I guess we all have different ways of expressing ourselves, which is always a good thing 👍
