I’m so glad you’re here to start another beautiful day with us. Today feels a little extra special because… we have a new puppy! It was definitely unexpected, but sometimes the best surprises come on four paws.

Everyone, meet Valen! He was given to us by my aunt last week. :) He was born on Valentine's Day, along with his other siblings (Val, Lenlen, Len, and Tine). Now you know where he got his name from 😂 He's only three months old and super active! I love playing with him, but I get too worn out easily, while he still nags me by pulling my shorts to play with him.

He’s still getting used to his new home—lots of sniffing, tail wags, and naps—but we already love him so much. 🐶

Do you have lovely photos or stories of your furry (or even feathered or scaly!) friends? Share them with us! I'd love to read them :D

Hi sweetie, your puppy is gorgeous, may I add a little advice please? I hear of so many puppies/dogs getting scared around celebration times and escaping their homes sadly some don't come home, I started teaching my Tuckerboy right from the start by making loud explosive noises whilst holding him I reassured him the eyes nearly popped out when I dropped the steel pot onto the cement I cuddled him into my chin talking all the time, put new year on the computer loud each all the time reassuring him and I also put soothing music on, like old country, which I also put on the computer for him if I go out it has worked for us, we live up the hill from the harbour in Ulladulla and the sound of the fireworks really carries, Tucker doesn't react at all now at first he looked at me for reassurance which I would say it's ok sweetie and ruffle his fur which of course went to tummy tickles lol . Forgive me for intruding sweetie it's just that you have 6mths to get him used to it and with all the training we give them we tend to forget New Years Eve noises and how it makes them start barking and running because they don't know what it is. Good Luck with your little furbaby many happy adventures ahead for you all.

This is such a great advice! My other dog, West, also got used to the loud noises - in fact, he barks at them and he isn't scared!! I have a feeling Valen will do the same when he gets used to our home 😂 But I will definitely try to do this to Valen, too! Thanks for the tip, @Toni Wrinkles ! :D

Hi Valen, if ever you are in WA please pop in and have a treat. Also Sally and Dixie would love a play. Sally is the greyhound and she will be tuckered out in 10 minutes and off for a nap. Dixie is queenbee but she still loves to play.

They're so cute oh my goodness!! Valen would reaaaaally love to go, but unfortunately, we immediately took him to the vet because he hasn't been feeling well :( The vet said he tested positive for parvovirus, and we were all so devastated 😭 I'm really heartbroken after hearing the news, but he's being treated right now and just taken his meds. I do hope he gets better.

Good thing we were able to catch it soon. 😭

Valen is soooo gorgeous but so sorry to hear he isnt well at the moment. I do so hope he responds to his meds and gets better real soon.

We have a beautiful indoor cat, Jessie, a Calico cat, who rules the house. We used to have a dog a long while ago, but now I’m unable to walk a dog very far these days, hence we got a rescue cat.

Hi Calico!! You're so pretty! Hahaha yes, cats are the kings and queens of the house, and we all bow down to them 🙇‍♀️ 😂

There's something about rescue animals about how they're attached to their humans.... they're more... clingy and affectionate! I, too, have a rescue cat! Her name is Mimaw, and she loves taking over our bed. She doesn't care if we get uncomfortable as long as she sleeps there 🤣

My mum took a photo of her when we caught her on the sofa at night, plus she has black fur, that's why you could only see her eyes 👀

Hi Mimaw you are sooo beautiful and cute, I could see you very well.

we actually adopted two kitties, Jessie and Oscar as they bonded when in Lost Dogs home (yes they have cats too). However poor Oscar had severe kidney problems, and although he had a short life we gave him 3 years of lots of loving, which was much longer than the vet thought.
