Friendship rings

Who remembers these cool friendship rings? These rings were exchanged on the playground with a pinky promise that echoed ‘best friends forever!’ Did you receive one back in the day? If so, do you still have it? Share your memories here.
 
I thought friendship rings were given by a boyfriend saying that he is serious.

I never remember it being given by friends at school.

I still have mine given to me by hubby when I was 15 except it nolonger fits 🙂
Yes I remember it as such, given by your intended before the next step. My husband gave me one at 18. We were engaged thereafter and married at 20. I still have the ring and the small white leather envelope pouch it came in with friendship on the front. I also still have the husband who gave it to me :)
 
Yep, me too. My husband gave me mine when I was 16. I've had it 50yrs now. I remember he took me to a jewellers shop window and said, I could pick any ring from this particular tray. They were £5. I was so chuffed. Made me feel very special.
