Fridays just got better: How to get half-priced meals at IKEA!

IKEA, the Swedish multinational conglomerate, is known for its ready-to-assemble furniture, flat-pack design, and its famous Swedish meatballs.

With its blue-and-yellow emblem beckoning shoppers from afar, IKEA has evolved from a humble furniture store to a global icon synonymous with affordable home furnishings, sleek Scandinavian design, and an immersive shopping experience like no other.

And now, it is offering a deal that's hard to resist.

In a bid to make your Fridays even more delightful, IKEA is serving up half-price meals at its in-store restaurants across Australia.

This is part of IKEA's new 'Happy Days' promotion, aimed at making every Friday a day to look forward to, not just for shopping but also for a delicious and affordable meal.

The 'Happy Days' promotion is straightforward. Every Friday, IKEA Family members can enjoy a 50 per cent discount on hot meals at the Swedish restaurant.

This offer is valid at all IKEA stores across Australia.

From 11:00 am until closing time, IKEA customers can present their family membership card (which is free to join) and receive half-price on hot food items.

This includes the iconic Swedish meatballs, fish and chips, chicken parmigiana, and more.

But that's not all! If you spend $100 or more at the IKEA restaurant on Fridays, you'll receive a $25 voucher.

This voucher can be used towards any in-store purchase that day, including furniture!

In a statement, Matthew Taylor, IKEA's Country Food Manager, expressed that this initiative aims to address the challenges posed by the current high cost of living.

'We know Aussies love our delicious Swedish menu, and we also know that the cost of living is hitting everyone close to home,’ he said.

‘By introducing 50 per cent off hot meals every Friday for our IKEA Family members, we ensure that our customers can come visit us no matter their budget to enjoy a meal with family or friends before or after browsing the showroom and picking up those items to make their homework better.’

This is not the first time that IKEA offered us good deals like this.

Just last year, they also offered 35 per cent off on selected outdoor furniture. You can read more about the deal here.

Haven't been to Ikea for a while. Last time I went, I thought the quality of goods wasn't like it used to be, plus I didn't eat at the cafeteria either.
