Freshness Fiasco: Why Do Dog Toys Smell So Quickly?

Hello everyone.

I've noticed that my dog's toys develop a strange smell not long after we get them. We usually opt for high-quality, durable toys, but the smell seems unavoidable. Does anyone have tips on preventing or minimizing this odor of dog toys smell? I've tried washing them regularly, but it doesn't seem to fully solve the problem. Is there a specific material that's less prone to getting smelly? Or perhaps a cleaning method I haven't tried yet? Any advice from fellow dog owners would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!
