French Onion Rissoles

These are so easy and delicious

Prep time 10 minutes
Cook time 15 minutes
Serves 4

Ingredients

500g pork mince
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
40g packet of French Onion soup mix
1 egg lightly beaten
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
1 garlic clove crushed
1 tablespoon olive oil
Lemon wedges to serve

Method

1. Preheat oven 180°C / 160°C fan-forced.
Grease and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2. Combine mince, breadcrumbs, French Onion soup mix, egg, parsley and garlic in a bowl.

3. Shape mixture into 12 rissoles

4 . Heat oil in a large frypan over medium-high heat. Cook rissoles un batches , for 2 minutes each side or until browned.

5. Transfer rissoles to the baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes or until cooked.

Serve rissoles with a Garden Salad and Lemon Wedges.

Thanks for the recipe, it looks yum. Do you use fresh or processed bread crumbs?
 
I will substitute the parsley with a little finely chopped fresh coriander which gives a lot of meat dishes a really nice flavour, but I have not used mince more often to make rissoles. The addition of French onion soup mix and some garlic sounds delicious, so I will try it some time. I have an air fryer which would take less time than a full sized oven for just my husband and myself (about 170 or 160 degrees, a bit lower than a conventional oven, would be my choice). Thanks for the recipe - I’ll try soon.
