Free Milk In Primary Schools​

Are there any Queenslanders out there who can remember having free milk at school? The bottles held 1/3 pint, and were consumed during “little lunch “.
I can remember one day I had milk duty, and I had gone to each class room to jot down the number of milk drinkers. My classmate and I then counted out the required bottles for each class. We decided to have a little contest, where
we would see who could drink the most bottles of leftover milk. I don’t remember the final tally, but I do recall being sick as a dog, with an over bloated stomach, and the milk being quite warm by this time.

Good old day's!. We also had free milk in NSW. It was put on the seating area which was around a big pine tree. You had to get in quick to find one the birds hadn't pecked a hole in the shiny silver foil lid. We eventually got a big old fridge to store it in.

Liked milk but all too often it was left in the sun and it was warm we were still made to drink it though.
