When a well-known TV star steps into the spotlight once again, it’s bound to capture attention – but this time, the transformation is truly unexpected.
What started as a fun magazine shoot soon turned into a conversation starter, leaving fans buzzing about the surprising new look.
What followed was an honest reflection on life after fame and the unpredictable nature of an actor’s career.
Former Home and Away star Lincoln Younes graced the cover of Men's Health for the December issue, revealing a fresh look that’s a far cry from his days as the beloved Casey Braxton.
In a fun '80s-inspired shoot, Lincoln, 32, embraced his playful side, posing with weights, bananas, juggling oranges, and balancing on a tipping armchair while holding a feather duster.
His alter ego for the shoot, ‘Chad,’ showed he wasn’t afraid to have a laugh at his own expense.
Lincoln reflected on his acting journey, starting with his breakthrough role in City Homicide in 2009, before rising to fame as Casey Braxton, one of the iconic River Boys in Home and Away.
While fans were heartbroken when Casey was killed off after three years, Lincoln opened up in his Men’s Health interview about the challenges that came with leaving a hit show and the uncertainty of what would come next.
He recalled his final day on Home and Away, sharing a memorable moment when one of the crew members made a joke over the PA system.
‘One of the crew got on the PA and goes, "Knock, knock,"’ he shared.
"Who’s there?" "Lincoln." "Lincoln who?" "That’s showbiz,"’ he added.
‘And one, I thought it was so funny, but two, it’s true because it’s like you’re up there, you’re doing really well, you’re killing it, and then it’s forgotten.’
For Lincoln, growth as an actor – and as a person – came in those uncertain moments between jobs.
‘You grow as a person because that is the hardest,’ he opened up.
‘When you wake up and you have nothing scheduled for your week and you don’t know when money’s going to come in and you don’t have any clarity on why you didn’t get this job. There are so many whys, hows and what-ifs, so I think if there’s a trick with acting, and maybe life, it’s just relinquishing control of a lot of things and being okay with that.’
Fans were clearly enamoured with the buff star's Men's Health shoot, with some claiming he was giving Chris Hemsworth a run for his money in the ‘guns’ department.
‘Should be illegal to be this hot,’ one fan said. ‘Someone forgot to tie up his shoelaces…. bend & snap pls,’ another quipped.
Amongst the fire react emojis, many expressed their admiration for Lincoln’s character as well.
‘This cover is everything. Also one of the nicest blokes around. Love it,’ someone commented. ‘My actual idol. Proud of you big bro,’ another said.
Lincoln Younes’ latest transformation has certainly sparked a lot of chatter–what do you think of his new look? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
