Ford vs. Holden

Got an email from a member, Robert H., who said:

My first car way back in 1975 was the classic Holden EH.

I have always been a Holden man because l like holdin' women!
I'm not a ford man because l cannot afford women!

Had a chuckle - was this a common refrain back in the day?

But while we're on the topic, are you a Holden or a Ford man or woman?

I've never owned a Ford, but my two Holden's a 1959 FE and a 197? HQ were both pieces of sh*t. :(

When I was young I was a Holden fan and owner.
Later years I bought Fords among others.
Both were good.

I've had both but then I wised up and bought Nissans..
This was my 1959.5 FC Holden...did a lot of work on it which made it much better than the stock version. This was the car I was in when my spine was damaged...
Also my current ride, just turned 19 years of age and only done 56,000ks, Still like a new one. Now worth about $80,000
