Floating Farm​

Inle Lake, Myanmar is home to thousands of people in dozens of floating villages.
On the outskirts of villages are floating farms where food is grown. Silt and weeds are dredged from the lakebed (see the piles in his boat) and placed upon lattices of floating bamboo to form very fertile gardens.
As the garden beds deteriorate, they are replaced - a valuable food and waste treatment cycle!
