Flight attendant reveals why you’re better off NEVER using toilet papers on a plane – “This is the BEST travel tip I’ve heard.”

The majority of us have probably reached out for toilet paper provided in-flight during a quick trip to the toilet… But one flight attendant reveals the harsh truth behind toilet papers on planes – and chances are after finding out why, you’ll never want to use, let alone touch them again.

A flight attendant who is also popular on TikTok as ‘flightbae.b’ has shared one of the top secrets airline companies wouldn’t want us to know.

She explained the travel tip to her thousands of followers, revealing that toilet paper on planes are usually a lot more unhygienic than we think.

“Use the tissue paper as opposed to the toilet paper.” she suggested. “When turbulence hits and there are little boys who are pointing and shooting, they kind of shoot everywhere (referring to urine).”

“That usually ends up on the toilet paper… So, if you don’t want that kind of stuff in your nether regions, use the tissue paper.”

She detailed that using tissue towels is a better option as they are typically placed further away from the toilet and less likely to be splashed by waste.

“It’s cleaner, so just use that instead of the toilet paper,” she said.

You may also want to be careful about what you decide to do in the bathroom (delay the hanky panky and take it to the hotel, folks) because one cabin crew member said they know EVERYTHING you are doing in there.

The anonymous flight attendant disclosed to BuzzFeed: “The toilets are near where we sit.

“No matter how hard you try to cover up the fact that you’re doing a number two, it makes a different noise than if you just go number one, so we always know.”

But of course, if you ate a bad meal and feel like blowing up… Then everyone else just has to suck it up and deal with the aftershocks, right? Any nervous bathroom-goers may want to opt for a toilet break when the crew is busy during service instead.

Her travel tip amassed over 80k views and nearly 200 comments from users who were bewildered upon finding out about the grim truth.

“I'm never flying again… Thanks, sis.” joked one person.

“Why didn’t you tell me this sooner? Like 30 years ago?!?!” demanded another.

“This is the best travel tip I have ever heard.” praised a third.

“Tall men probably shoot (urinate) everywhere too... Those lavatories aren’t safe.” pointed out one more.

Another reason why it makes no sense for a male to stand to urinate. They sit to do their business, , so why not when urinating. Such a small space should tell them it's better to sit. Though I have found some nasty surprises on the few occasions I have had to use the loo on a long flight. Maybe it was not only men.

It makes a great deal of sense for a male to stand to urinate. It's all to do with the prostate gland allowing free flow from the bladder. When we stand, the prostate gland does not pressure the urinary tract so there is free flow, when we sit, the prostate gland does reduce that free flow and therefore many males do not empty their bladder effectively.
We sit to do business because it is difficult to juggle and write whilst standing. Its easier to sit and have the writing material on the desk or table, or even our thighs

Yep its the blokes fault because they stand up to pee Never fear I am sure like most things modern day boys will be taught 'proper' girl ways. Had a young tradie in the other day and he used the loo and when I next went in the seat was neatly down. I am a bloke who lives alone the seat is always remains up just in case I spray the seat and the next female to use it would try and retrain me. Although my late wife never could.
