Ferry Cross the Mersey

Back in 1965 a British band by the name of "Gerry and the Pacemakers" had a worldwide hit with the song, "Ferry Cross the Mersey". The Ferry is a public transport vehicle that crosses the Mersey River in Liverpool England. This is the modern-day version of that ferry. Maybe some members can remember the song.

I lived in Birkenhead until I emigrated to Oz in the early Sixties.I used to travel on the ferries to Liverpool quite frequently, great memories.I also loved the song and most of the music that came out of Merseyside in those great days.

Yes, I remember the song well and all the other hits that Gerry and his band made popular and I'm not even
recent English. Pure Aussie and enjoyed all those hits of the times!
