Feel the warmth of Olivia Newton-John's legacy through her family's heartfelt tribute

Australia is set to celebrate the life and legacy of one of its most cherished stars, Olivia Newton-John, with an extended tribute that promises to touch the hearts of fans across the nation.

The beloved singer, who passed away in August 2022 after a long battle with cancer, will be honoured in a series of performances that will bring her iconic music back to the stage, accompanied by the rich sounds of a live orchestra.

The show, titled Hopelessly Devoted: A Celebration of Olivia Newton-John, has already captivated audiences in Melbourne and is now preparing to enchant Brisbane with its heartfelt renditions of Newton-John's greatest hits.

But the good news doesn't stop there. Tottie Goldsmith, Olivia's niece and a celebrated artist in her own right, shared that additional tour dates across Australia are in the works.

'There are talks of other cities, and they will be announced really soon, but they’re still signing off on things, but there will definitely be some more shows,' Goldsmith revealed.

This announcement has sparked excitement among fans eager to partake in this moving tribute to a woman whose music and spirit have left an indelible mark on the world.

Goldsmith, who hosted the Melbourne performances, described the production as an emotional journey for her and everyone involved.

'On the first day, it was a bit tough… but the vibe in the room, and on stage, with the crew and the cast, and the audience, it was just this big love bubble, and it was just so perfect,' she said.

The production is more than just a musical tribute; it reflects Newton-John's values and commitment to wellness and healing.

Proceeds from ticket sales are being donated to the Olivia Newton-John Wellness Centre, a facility that embodies her passion for supporting others in their health journeys.

Olivia Newton-John's approach to her cancer diagnosis was one of unwavering positivity and strength.

In her final interview with Australian Women’s Weekly, she shared insights into the mindset that carried her through the toughest times.

'You have to believe that you’ll be okay,' she said, emphasising the power of attitude in the healing process.

One of the few 'celebrities' that actually gave back to the community that made her. Substantial endowment to the Wellness Centre and just an all round example of humanity. If only some of the current batch could learn from her legacies.

Will the show be coming to Adelaide, I support many singers but dear old Adelaide gets forgotten each time a show comes or a concert, Pink is the only one who continues to perform in Adelaide but the likes of Taylor Swift just wiped Adelaide off, disapponting

'There are talks of other cities, and they will be announced really soon, but they’re still signing off on things, but there will definitely be some more shows,' Goldsmith revealed. The chaos that Taylor caused in both Syd & Melb, just imagine the smallest mainland capital trying to host 95k+ for 3 or 4 nights. Difficult enough when just hosting the gather round for AFL.

Hard to pick from all the classics, however, By the Banks of the Ohio always makes me mellow.
The concert is a grand idea and certainly worthy of Olivia's legacy.
I still cannot believe Sandy is gone.
