True story, many years back while walking from the highway into Ailie beach, I crossed a farmer's paddock as a short cut.

I was 2/3 of the way across, when about 60 geese flapped across the paddock towards me all squawking.

I immediately formed my hand into a beak shape and started pecking at the ground intently. My hand was soon enveloped by geese doing the same, still pecking at the ground I backed through the flock, towards the fence to see a farmer leaning on it, his folded arms on the railing, his hat tilted back.

G'day I said walking towards him.

You're the first one that's ever made it across he said.

I apologized for taking a short cut across his land.

He nodded saying its okay, it was worth it, I usually come down for the entertainment.

This time however someone surprised me.

I had never been around geese before, but looking at the massive problem that was charging towards me, it instantly occurred as the thing to do..
