When it comes to caravanning, there's always something new to discover that can make your experience smoother and more enjoyable.

What started as a simple need to solve a common problem has quickly become a game-changer for many on the road.

The solution? A surprising find that’s gaining popularity among travellers–and it's more than just a clever fix.

Camping and caravanning have soared to the top of Australia's list of favourite pastimes.

Whether it’s the lure of adventure or just a carefree 'why not?' attitude, they’re hitting the open road in search of a change of scenery.

For many of these travellers, leaving their pets behind simply isn’t an option.

After all, they’re not just pets, they’re family, right?

Luckily, Australia's campgrounds and caravan parks have plenty of dog-friendly options, but it’s important to stay responsible.

Pet owners need to ensure their furry companions are safe and don’t disturb other guests.

One savvy camper has found the perfect solution using an unlikely Kmart product to keep their pooch happy and enclosed while still having plenty of space to roam.

A camper shared their brilliant tip in a popular social media group, writing: ‘Doggy playpen for camping, $60, and I bought 2 and joined them together!’

It’s no surprise this simple yet genius idea has taken off among caravan owners. People loved the idea, with some saying they were heading to Kmart themselves to pick up a couple of enclosures for their pets.

The pet enclosure has received rave reviews on the Kmart website, with praise for its durability and the fact that you can combine multiple pens to create a larger play area.

One said: ‘Fantastic, easy setup fencing. We use it around our caravan to give our Jack Russell some space to roam free! Would recommend these for travelling with pets.’

A fantastic pet enclosure especially for camping. We bought two of these and link them together outside our caravan to create a little fence to keep the dogs in,’ said another happy camper.

Not a pet owner? No worries!

This clever Kmart find is proving popular for other uses, too.

Some people have playfully suggested it could double as a handy solution for keeping toddlers contained.

‘Great for little kids too haha,’ someone joked.

Another added: ‘Ooh... this could be really good for toddlers.’

A third person chimed in: ‘We have one similar for our kids!.’

Looks like Kmart has truly come to the rescue for both furry friends and their human families!
