Fact of the Day: The longest recorded lifespan is 122 years old
Jeanne Calment lived through an era of incredible change—born in 1875, she saw the Eiffel Tower rise, the telephone invented, and the first moon landing. Living in Arles, France, she enjoyed a privileged life filled with family, social events, and a love for physical activities like cycling. She became the world’s oldest verified person, living 122 years and 164 days—a record still unbroken.
