Levi’s jeans are one of the most sought-after clothing pieces in the world.
Although you might pay a hefty price for a pair now, the first pair sold for US$6 worth of gold dust back then, or about A$9 today... But why gold dust?
In 1853, Levi Strauss first opened a dry goods company during the Gold Rush in the United States.
However, Strauss saw the workers’ need for durable workwear. In partnership with tailor Jacob Davis, they developed a pair of pants with a nearly indestructible build.
