Who remembers VHS tapes?

These big, black tapes were a source of entertainment for many in the past.

Yet, before our favourite TV shows came in this format, did you know the first movie was released on VHS?

Before the widespread success of the VHS, the first movie on VHS was The Young Teacher.

The Young Teacher was a South Korean drama about a teacher who organises a volleyball game at her school to boost self-confidence and school spirit in her students.

While the film received little recognition, the VHS format proved to be very successful and quickly became the number one format for buying and selling movies.
