Fact of life!
A Chinese tourist lands in Israel at Ben Gurion Airport.
He hops into a taxi, and heads to Tel Aviv.
On the drive there, the cab passes a few buses. "Those buses are very slow,
"the Chinese tourist remarks to the cab driver. "In China, the buses are very fast."
The cab driver just ignores him
A little later on, they pass a train on the newly built rail line. "That train is going very slow," the Chinese tourist remarks. "In China, the trains are very fast."
The taxi driver still ignores him.
When they get to Tel Aviv, they see people walking around. "Those people all walk very slow," the Chinese tourist remarks. "In China, the people walk very fast."
The taxi driver still ignores him.
They finally pull up to the tourist’s hotel. "So, what’s the meter reading?" the tourist asks.
"It's 500 shekels," the cab driver responds.
"That’s crazy," the Chinese tourist responds.
"In Israel, the buses run slow, the trains run slow, and the people walk slow.
How come the meter is the only thing here that runs so fast?"
He shrugs his shoulders and says, "The meter was made in China.”
